Move up the Abundance Scale
Using Your Emotions
July 1, 2022
Dear friends,
Your emotions are extremely powerful. Why are they powerful? Emotions can direct your thoughts. Then with thoughts and feelings together you can create the life you want to live.
I believe that emotions aren’t good or bad as society has labeled them. I believe that emotions are just breadcrumbs for you to determine what you need to change. When we pay attention to our emotional breadcrumbs, we get the information we need to grow and change towards being a 10 on the abundance scale.
For example, I used to resist my feeling of overwhelm and want to get rid of it. When I started sitting with my overwhelm, I recognized that I needed to do things differently. It was time to grow and change. Listening and processing the emotion of overwhelm has increased my level on the abundance scale. I still get occasionally overwhelmed but it passes quicker and doesn’t sabotage my life.
A client of mine had fear about looking at their bank account and rightfully so because it was a routine occurrence to not have enough money to buy coffee on Tuesday while waiting for their paycheck on Friday. Of course, because they didn’t look at the bank account, it would make the financial situation worse. They came to me with a number 1 on the abundance scale. After following the emotional bread crumbs, on this emotion of fear about looking at their bank account. Through some explorations we discovered that this emotion was connected to their childhood trauma that they didn’t want to look at either. This realization helped them to eliminate the powerful emotions that were sabotaging them from climbing the abundance scale and they climbed it quickly.
So here are some ways to use your emotions to move up the abundance scale.
* Mantra statements like “my personal economy is flourishing” or “things are always working out for me.”
* Prayer from your faith tradition. I believe it is because prayer is both a thought and deep emotions of hope and faith.
* You can talk about your emotions with a friend, therapist or coach.
* You could journal about your emotions on paper with full emotional details.
So on your journey to climb the abundance scale, remember that ALL your emotions are valid and helpful. My ideal question to ask when you're trying to climb the abundance scale is “What emotion am I feeling right now that is bothering me?” or simply “What is bothering me?”
I'm rooting for you to explore your emotional breadcrumbs. As always, I am here to help you on your journey towards your personal abundance just reach out via email as you need. Or share with me how you have followed your emotional breadcrumbs to climb the abundance scale.
Make it an abundant day!
